Overview
The Sun God Archery Alumni Association membership is open to everyone-regardless of whether they are student alumni from SGA. Any individual who is interested in joining our community, who believes in our mission, and is invested in learning and growing with us is more than welcome to join!
Membership is one way that helps us as an organization keep track of our alumni as they progress through their careers and different challenges in their lives. It also enables us to continue growing our family based on the values we as a whole community support and feel connected to. It is through our membership that we can make the biggest impacts to the communities around us, the greatest changes strives in personal growth, and support positive and healthy lifestyles.

Types of Membership
The SGA motto, Ardus ad Solem or "Striving for the Sun" was established in 2015 with the creation of the Apollonian award and in continuing to pursue ever higher heights, our members represent different stages of the sun. By rising higher and joining different tier memberships, your support enables us to do more, to better drive our community and our mission forward, and to continue creating unique opportunities for our members to grow.
At this time, we are offering our first membership tier:
1. Ortu Sol (The Rising Sun)
In many cultures, the sun's progression across the sky is described as a journey, with a solar deity voyaging into the future. In Egyptian mythology, Ra, god of the sun, would travel across the sky every day on his sun barge, a child in the morning, mature at noon, and an old man ready for death at sunset. At night, Ra travels through the underworld, fighting off monsters and chaos to be reborn again at the rise of the sun.

Please note that all members of the organization have, in general, the same equal access to our products and services. Higher tiers do not receive special voting privileges or access to top secret information. Voting members, as designated by the Association's Bylaws are only those classified as SGA Alumni which are people who were a part of SGA during their time as a student at UCSD. Honorary Alumni also have voting privileges and are those who have significantly contributed their time and/or money to help SGA continue pursuing its mission.
The only instances where the Association will hold votes are for electing Directors to the Board and making amendments to the Association Bylaws.

Membership Requirements
The only requirements to join the SGA Alumni Association are to
- Create a member account
- Pay membership dues
After those two things are completed you are officially an active member for the next year!
